Leonardo Hotels is continuing its expansion in Germany with the addition of the Badischer Hof Baden-Baden to its Leonardo Limited Edition collection from 1 May.

A strategic acquisition for Leonardo Hotels

Present in Baden-Baden since 2013 with the recently renovated Leonardo Royal Baden-Baden, the group is strengthening its presence with this second establishment in the spa town.

The Badischer Hof thus becomes the fourth Leonardo Limited Edition hotel in German-speaking countries, alongside the Alden Splügenschloss Zürich, The Nikolai in Hamburg and the Mannheimer Hof.

‘The Badischer Hof is an exceptional acquisition for Leonardo Hotels. This historic Grand Hotel fits perfectly with our Leonardo Limited Edition concept. We look forward to restoring its prestige and welcoming our first guests very soon.’ – Yoram Biton, Managing Director Leonardo Hotels Central Europe

An exceptional architectural heritage

The history of the Badischer Hof goes back to a former Capuchin monastery, transformed in the 19th century into Baden-Baden’s first luxury hotel and Germany’s first Palace Hotel.

Behind its classical façade, the hotel offers 153 rooms and suites, a spacious lobby, a bar and a gourmet restaurant with a large outdoor terrace. The hotel is surrounded by landscaped gardens and has four private lounges.

‘We select unique buildings to enrich our Leonardo Limited Edition collection. The Badischer Hof, with its 19th-century spa architecture and lush green surroundings, is the perfect embodiment of our vision.’ – Jan Heringa, Vice President Development, Leonardo Hotels

A spa supplied by thermal waters

The jewel in the Badischer Hof’s crown, its wellness area offers a wellness experience in keeping with the tradition of Baden-Baden, famous for its thermal baths. The hotel offers :

  • Indoor and outdoor pools supplied with thermal water
  • Saunas and salt room
  • Gym and relaxation areas
  • Three treatment rooms for massages and personalised treatments

A new design by Andreas Neudahm

To enhance this historic hotel, Andreas Neudahm, a renowned designer who has worked with several Leonardo hotels, will lead the renovation of the public areas, spa and bedrooms.

With this acquisition, Leonardo Hotels continues to strengthen its position in the luxury and upmarket hotel market in Europe. The official opening under the Leonardo Limited Edition banner is scheduled for May, marking a new era for one of Baden-Baden’s most prestigious hotels.
