Novotel continues to strengthen its European presence with new hotel openings in Malta and Croatia, marking its debut in both countries. As part of a broader expansion strategy, the brand is introducing new properties in Spain, France, and Germany, further solidifying its position in the midscale hospitality sector.

Novotel’s commitment to growth and innovation

With nearly 600 hotels across 60+ countries and over 180 properties in the pipeline, Novotel aims to develop strongly its footprint across Europe, its core market. 

The brand focuses on seamlessly integrating business and leisure, offering modern workspaces, wellness facilities, and social hubs designed for a balanced stay.

New openings in Malta and Croatia

Novotel Malta Sliema – A Waterfront Escape

Marking Novotel’s first hotel in Malta, the 293-room property in Sliema is set to open in summer 2025. Located near Valletta, it will feature a panoramic rooftop pool, a wellness center with an indoor pool, sauna, and jacuzzi, and versatile meeting spaces for corporate events.

Novotel Zagreb – A New Hub in Croatia’s Capital

Set to open in May 2025, Novotel’s first hotel in Croatia will introduce 170 rooms in Zagreb. The hotel will offer a wellness center with a gym, hammam, and sauna, as well as a garden terrace with scenic city views. Business travelers will benefit from 700 sqm of high-tech conference facilities, catering to large and small events.

Expanding Novotel’s footprint across Europe

Beyond Malta and Croatia, Novotel is reinforcing its presence in key European markets with new openings:

  • Novotel Valencia Lavant (Spain) – A 370-room hotel featuring a two-level rooftop pool bar and sophisticated interiors by the Sundukovy Sisters.
  • Novotel Hamburg HafenCity (Germany) – Located in Hamburg’s vibrant HafenCity district, this 163-room hotel will offer a modern stay near the city’s top attractions.
  • Novotel Paris La Défense Nanterre (France) – Positioned in La Défense, this 170-room property will provide 4,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, making it a prime choice for business travelers.

A Strong Future for Novotel in Europe

With over 300 hotels across 24 European countries, Novotel continues to evolve, providing modern hospitality solutions for business and leisure travelers alike. 

These latest openings highlight Novotel’s commitment to expanding its footprint while maintaining its focus on quality, innovation, and guest satisfaction in Europe’s most dynamic destinations.
