Reach Hospitality, which operates The Mexican, Black Tap, and Pie Tap restaurants in Dallas, plans to open the Hollywood-inspired Evelyn steakhouse on Wednesday, March 26, in the city’s design district.
The Dallas-based group’s spokesperson said the Evelyn will exude “confidence, sophistication, and a striking feminine energy” in the 9,500-square-foot space.
Designed by the ICrave design firm (Catch and STK restaurants), the Evelyn will feature The Piano Room, a dining room where guests can order in steaks, seafood, and classic cocktails. The main dining room will seat 85, a spokesperson said.
In addition, the Ruby Room, the main bar, and the Room Seven lounge will feature 75 to 100 seats each.
Lisa Johnson, ICrave design manager, said in a statement: “Evelyn is more than just a restaurant or bar, it’s a destination where nostalgia and modern allure converge, creating a seamless fusion of past and present. With a design inspired by the bold glamour of decades past, Evelyn is a little bit disco, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll, and always effortlessly cool. Every room reveals a different side of her personality, adding to her aura of mystery.”
Evelyn’s beverage program is home to classic, era-driven cocktails and a martini program. The martini selection, priced from $17- $22 spans classic options such as The House martini with Bombay Sapphire gin, vermouth, white balsamic vinegar to The Vesper as well as martini service for two called the Dirty Duo.
One creation is The Price of Fame ($150) featuring Nolet’s Reserve Gin, dry vermouth, black truffle bitters, and caviar-stuffed olives.
“The idea for this concept actually started with the lounge, Room Seven,” Todd Istre, co-founder of Reach Hospitality, said in a statement. “We felt Dallas was missing a luxury space where you could have dinner, dance, and enjoy a full night out all in one spot.”
The full dinner menu is available in Room Seven, and a late-night menu is available beyond dinner hours.
The menu offers steaks and appetizers such as Wagyu Cheesesteak Bites, featuring caramelized onions, aged provolone mornay, with shaved black truffle.
Evelyn’s steak selections include the Texas Wagyu Strip, a 14-ounce cut from Rosewood Ranch in Texas; a 22-ounce dry-aged prime ribeye from DemKota Ranch in South Dakota; and an 18-ounce Kansas City strip from Allen Brothers.
Evelyn will be closed on Mondays.
