Hilton has signed a franchise agreement with the Societe Hoteliere Economique D’Investissement de Gerone Nord for the opening of the first Spark by Hilton hotel in Spain. Located in Madrid, the hotel will mark the debut of the premium economy brand in the country.
About the Spark by Hilton Madrid Alcalá
The Spark by Hilton Madrid Alcalá, located at Albarracín 42, San Blas-Canillejas, will feature 95 rooms, a buffet breakfast area, and communal spaces designed for socializing or working.
The hotel will open its doors in the summer of 2025, adding to Hilton’s expanding portfolio in the premium economy segment.

Hilton expands strongly across Europe
The opening of Spark by Hilton Madrid Alcalá follows the brand’s debut in Europe in 2023, with current properties operating in the UK, Germany, Austria, and Poland.
France will follow shortly, and Carlos Miró highlighted a strong demand for this segment in the Spanish market.
