Radisson Hotel Group is continuing its European expansion strategy with the planned opening of the Radisson Hotel Krefeld in 2028, marking a significant addition to the city’s hospitality scene.
A modern transformation in Krefeld
The new Radisson Hotel Krefeld will be located in the Krefelder Höfe district, which is undergoing a major transformation. The former Krefelder Hof hotel will be demolished and replaced with a modern building that will house 138 rooms, including two accessible rooms and two suites.
The hotel will also offer a restaurant, a lobby bar, an outdoor terrace, and a fitness center. Additionally, the property will feature a 270-square-meter divisible meeting space and an underground garage with 81 parking spaces.
“The Krefelder Höfe district is an exciting project in an excellent location between the city center and the Krefeld Zoo.” – Max Gross, Vice President of Business Development at Radisson Hotel Group
This development will be part of the broader revitalization of the area, which will also include 245 residential units and a daycare center. All of these new buildings will be set in a park-like, car-free environment, contributing to the overall sustainable vision of the district.
German market, a bonanza for Radisson
The Radisson Hotel Krefeld will be a key addition to the brand’s growing presence in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Radisson’s portfolio now includes around 200 hotels worldwide, with a focus on continuing its expansion in the region.
The brand made its debut in the DACH market in 2019 with the Radisson Hotel Zurich Airport, and recently opened its first hotel in Leipzig, Germany. In Austria, Radisson opened the Radisson Hotel Graz in 2024.
“As a leading hotel in Krefeld, we have been a fixture in the city for generations. Now, with the new construction, we are launching a true flagship project and are excited about the new chapter ahead.” – Helmut Bobbe, Managing director of the Krefelder Hof
With the opening of the Radisson Hotel Krefeld in 2028, Radisson Hotel Group continues to strengthen its footprint in Germany and beyond.
