Richtech Robotics — the robotics company behind Adam the AI barista — is foraying into the foodservice business. The company announced the launch of an automated coffee shop called Clouffee & Tea, centered around the robotic barista technology. The first location is opening at the Town Square shopping Center in Las Vegas, Nev., on Feb. 9.
According to Richtech, Clouffee & Tea at Town Square Adam will take orders of a “wide variety of milk teas, coffees, and desserts” from customers. The robot can detect when customers are present, engage them in small talk, take orders verbally, and make and serve beverages.
“Today’s announcement is a major milestone for Richtech Robotics, marking the official launch of our innovative food and beverage brand, Clouffee & Tea,” Richtech Robotics’ president, Matt Casella, said in a statement. “This grand opening highlights our ability to leverage AI-powered robotics to drive real revenue in the hospitality industry, setting a new standard for automation in customer experiences. Clouffee & Tea at Town Square will be a vibrant destination, delivering an interactive and dynamic experience that perfectly captures the energy and excitement Las Vegas locals and visitors crave.”
The robotics company plans to open additional Clouffee & Tea locations soon.
Richtech Robotics’ Adam the Robot was also deployed last June to work with Ghost Kitchens International as it expanded into new territories. Adam the robot is serving coffee and beverages to customers at the Dawsonville, Ga., location.
