SOLUTION

Taco John’s integrated Flybuy’s Smart Fire technology into its systems, predicting the ideal time for order preparation to maximize freshness to its existing tech stack for their pickup, drive-thru, and delivery channels. Once the customer is in proximity, the order is automatically transmitted to the Kitchen Display System (KDS), which instantly alerts the kitchen staff that the order needs to be prepared. Taco John’s customers will now be automatically “checked in” by Flybuy when they are on-premises, eliminating the customer having to announce their arrival. The kitchen staff prepares the order in real-time, ensuring it is fresh and ready for immediate handoff when the customer arrives.

Results

The implementation of Flybuy’s Smart Fire technology has delivered impressive results for Taco John’s:

  • 70% increase in mobile order sales – Streamlined digital ordering has driven significant growth in off-premises sales.
  • 10% reduction in delivery driver wait times – Faster order preparation has improved efficiency, benefiting both drivers and customers.
  • 23% decrease in missing or incorrect orders – Automated, precise order-firing has enhanced accuracy, reducing operational errors.

The implementation of Flybuy has made a significant impact to Taco John’s order-ahead business.

Fast and accurate order processing, triggered by Flybuy’s location technology, has resulted in fresher food, faster service, and immediate handoff for customers upon arrival. This streamlined digital order-ahead journey has improved customer satisfaction, driving repeat business and loyalty among Taco John’s customers.
