Hilton is expanding its footprint in Italy with the signing of two new properties: Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo and Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum. These additions mark the continued growth of Hilton’s portfolio in the country, offering new options for travelers in these iconic cities.

Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo: a new boutique experience in Milan

The first Canopy by Hilton hotel in Italy, located in Milan, will open later this year. Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo will provide guests with a unique boutique hotel experience in the heart of the city.

The hotel, located on the vibrant Via Torino, will feature 96 guest rooms and offer signature amenities including a restaurant, lobby bar, and rooftop bar with panoramic views of Milan. Guests can also enjoy an indoor and outdoor pool, wellness, and fitness facilities.

Originally built in the 1950s, the property combines modern design with classic elements, making it a perfect blend of history and contemporary luxury. The hotel is within walking distance to major landmarks such as the Duomo di Milano, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and Palazzo Reale di Milano, all located less than 1 km away.

The Missori metro station, close by, connects travelers to the Milan Central Railway Station and Linate Airport.

Hilton is also expanding its Hilton Garden Inn brand in Rome with the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum. This property will be Hilton Garden Inn’s second hotel in Rome, offering upscale accommodations and modern amenities for both business and leisure travelers.

With 181 rooms, the hotel will feature a restaurant, lobby bar, and fitness facilities. Located just 1.1 km from iconic landmarks like the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Domus Aurea, the hotel offers guests convenient access to Rome’s rich history and culture.

The hotel is well-connected by public transport, with easy access to popular attractions such as the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Additionally, Roma Termini, the city’s main railway station, is only 1.5 km away, and both Fiumicino and Ciampino airports can be reached in under 40 minutes by car.

“Italy, one of Europe’s most celebrated destinations, remains a key market for Hilton, where we have 109 trading and pipeline hotels. As we continue on our strong growth journey in the country, we’re thrilled to announce two new signings.” – Alan Mantin, vice president of development for Southern Europe at Hilton

Continued growth for Hilton in Italy

Hilton’s expansion in Italy continues with these two key signings, further enhancing the company’s presence in Milan and Rome. With Canopy by Hilton Milan Duomo and Hilton Garden Inn Rome Colosseum, Hilton strenghtens its presence in the Italian market and moreover on the European market.

These two new openings are part of the Group’s expansion strategy across the EMEA region, with a focus on the Garden Inn brand development across the region with openings in Greece and Germany.
