Marriott International marked a significant milestone with the opening of the Moxy Montreal Downtown, its 300th property in Canada, strengthening its presence in Quebec.
Developed in collaboration with RIMAP Hospitality, the hotel is located on rue Saint-Jacques, just steps from Old Montreal and iconic streets like Sainte-Catherine and Notre-Dame. It features 216 guestrooms, flexible co-working spaces and a restaurant, bar and lounge area.
Moxy Montreal Downtown is the third Moxy hotel in Canada, joining Moxy Banff and Moxy Halifax Downtown, which opened in 2024. Moxy is known for its playful and innovative approach, offering guests a fun, interactive experience. From checking in at the bar with a complimentary cocktail to enjoying social spaces, Moxy prioritizes guest experience. The brand is particularly popular among travelers seeking a lively stay. Marriott is also set to open Moxy Ottawa in 2026, in collaboration with RIMAP Hospitality, and Moxy Vancouver Downtown, a dual-branded project with Element Hotels developed by Paul Y. Construction (B.C.) Ltd, is expected to break ground this month.
Marriott continues to expand its offerings in Canada to meet the diverse needs of travelers.
