Introducing Central London’s Newest and Largest Wine Bar & Shop

This May, Mayfair House Group, welcomes Courtyard Wine Cellars to its growing portfolio. With the opening in Covent Garden, the group opens its eleventh site, having already established wine bars across the city including, Shepherds Market Wine House, Traders, Angeliques, Cecilias, Amelies and Voila bringing central London its largest wine bar concept and an unparalleled experience for wine lovers.

Capitalising on a prime location in the heart of Covent Garden’s historic Marketplace, the venue is a historical labyrinth, with 7arched cellars and outward-facing windows into Covent Garden Market’ vibrant courtyard. With 100 covers, the 2,500 sq. foot venue still promises an intimate experience, with shelving lining the cellars stacked wine bottles, candlelight, and soft furnishings creating secluded nooks and sections within the labyrinths.

Hosting a selection of over 1,000 wines from 100 wine regions and across 10 different countries, Courtyard Wine Cellars provides a diverse selection for each and every palate. The extensive wine selection is supplied by an impressive portfolio of brands, including EDR (Edmond de Rothschild), Roseblood (Estoublon), Beronia, González Byass, Lanson and Bruce Jack, as well as a carefully crafted list of affordable pours.

Courtyard Wine Cellars’ intimate and welcoming cavern is the spot to discover exceptional new selections, with knowledgeable staff on hand to guide guests through their journey and the addition of a dedicated tasting room.

In addition to the hand-picked selection of top wines, Courtyard Wine Cellars offers a variety of sharing platters, featuring French and Italian artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, along with seasonal dishes to perfectly pair with the wine experience.

A range of healthy salads and small dishes, with authentic Italian-style pizza set to hit the menu in the coming weeks.

Private rooms and sections are also available for hire, of varying capacities from 6 covers, to 100 and regular tastings with experts.

With a dedicated section for purchasing gifts, visitors can hand select a bottle to takeaway or to gift for all occasions, as well as a gourmet range of groceries or wine-related merchandise to complement their wine selection. Courtyard Wine Cellars’ also serves up freshly brewed coffee and a selection of pastries to enjoy pre-lunch.
