Le Meurice, a pillar of the Parisian luxury hotel scene
Soon to celebrate its 200th anniversary, Le Meurice is a Paris landmark. It was the first to be awarded the “Palace” distinction in France, and boasts three Michelin stars, including two for its restaurant run by Alain Ducasse. World-renowned pastry chef Cédric Grolet also runs the hotel’s patisserie.
Commenting on his appointment, Pascal Billard said: “It’s a privilege to return to Paris and contribute to Le Meurice’s iconic heritage. I look forward to working with the hotel’s dedicated team to further consolidate its reputation as a cultural and gastronomic hub in the heart of Paris. As we approach its bicentenary, an exciting new chapter is opening up for this legendary and much-loved hotel; I’m delighted to be part of it.”
Pascal Billard succeeds Franka Holtmann, who managed the hotel for over 18 years before retiring in February 2025. His appointment as head of Le Meurice opens a new chapter in the management of this historic establishment.
