Pan Pacific Hotels Group has completed a significant renovation of Pan Pacific Perth, its largest property in Australia. The upgrade includes changes to the hotel’s lobby, guest rooms, Pacific Club Lounge and convention floor. The 488-room hotel is one of six PPHG properties in the country.

“Australia is one of PPHG’s most strategically important markets, with six owned and managed properties across three states. Our investment in Pan Pacific Perth is a commitment to the city’s evolving position as a West Coast events and business hub. Backed by a national tourism rebound and Perth’s upcoming AU$5 billion airport redevelopment1, the hotel is strategically positioned to meet the city’s growing demand for premium travel and event experiences,” said Choe Peng Sum, CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

The hotel was designed by FDAT Architects. Its interior redesign draws on Western Australia’s landscapes. PPHG also added new materials made from recycled denim, herbs and plastics. These changes are part of the group’s sustainable tourism strategy. PPHG recently received the GSTC multi-site certification for all six Australian hotels.

Pan Pacific Perth now has 2,500 square meters of meeting space, the largest in Perth, with updated audiovisual systems and LED screens. The space supports business events, conferences and social gatherings.

“Across our hotels in Australia, we are enhancing meeting spaces to be more flexible, investing in technology for hybrid delivery, and enhancing F&B offerings to support diverse events. The ability to deliver consistent high-level MICE experiences across markets from Singapore to Australia and the UK is a strength of our integrated owner-operator model,” Choe Peng Sum added.

PPHG began its asset enhancement strategy in 2021 with Pan Pacific London. It has since completed upgrades to other properties including PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport and PARKROYAL Parramatta. The Melbourne property connects to the international and domestic terminals. The Sydney property updated its guest rooms and meeting areas.

According to the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, international tourist arrivals are projected to rise 41% between 2024 and 2028. Arrivals from Singapore grew more than 40% from 2022 to 2024. The Australian MICE sector is expected to grow 11.5% annually through 2032.

PPHG operates six hotels in Australia under the Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL brands, serving both business and leisure travelers in key cities and airport locations.
