W Hotels is set to strengthen its presence in the Mediterranean with the upcoming opening of W Sardinia – Poltu Quatu in August 2025. Located in the charming village of Poltu Quatu on the Emerald Coast of Sardinia, the new property adds to the brand’s growing footprint in Europe.
This establishment follows other notable openings, including properties in London, Ibiza, and Barcelona, offering diverse, design-forward experiences for guests across Europe.
W Sardinia – Poltu Quatu brings 154 rooms and suites, blending the region’s heritage with a contemporary, bold design approach. The hotel’s architecture reflects Sardinia’s natural beauty through the use of pastel hues, wood, and stone materials.
An interesting element is also the addition of the TANIT seafood restaurant, with views of the Marina dell’Orso, as well as a beach club accessible only by boat. Guests will also enjoy a WET Deck poolside, AWAY Spa, and a FIT fitness center.
Poltu Quatu, located between Porto Cervo and Baia Sardinia, faces the La Maddalena Archipelago and offers a mix of granite cliffs, lush vegetation, and pristine waters. The village itself is a picturesque, whitewashed haven, nestled in a natural fjord, which creates a serene environment ideal for relaxation and exploration.
This development is owned by Castello Sgr, a key player in real estate asset management, and is operated by Marriott International under the W Hotels brand. With this opening, W Hotels continues its strategic growth in Europe, meeting the increasing demand for upscale, unique travel experiences in sought-after destinations.
