CaptainBook, a booking management system that simplifies tour and activity bookings through automation and control, has rolled out what it says is the industry’s first native AI Assistant embedded within a reservation technology platform and tailored specifically for the Tours & Experiences sector.

The assistant is fully integrated with each operator’s live inventory and trained on their specific offerings, allowing it to deliver prompt and accurate responses to customer inquiries regarding availability, pricing, and inclusions, while communicating in a natural and human-like manner that surpasses generic chatbots and basic FAQ tools.

This new tool is designed to transform how activities are booked, enabling suppliers to automate customer service, increase direct sales, and deliver a seamless booking experience. All with no need of extra staff or operational complexity.

Moreover, it operates 24/7 in multiple languages, which allows live and personalised responses that were once only possible with a full-time dedicated team, guiding customers in real time through the entire booking process – from their first inquiry to secure payment and confirmed reservation.

The Assistant doesn’t just answer questions, is also designed to capture leads intelligently and without friction, collecting personal details organically during the conversation with the AI assistant. This allows operators to follow up quickly and deliver smooth, personalised customer support, turning interest into confirmed bookings.

“With the CaptainBook AI Assistant, we’re not just simplifying booking process – we’re empowering tour operators to elevate every aspect of the guest experience,” said Jerome Bajou, CEO and co-founder of CaptainBook.io.

“Tour operators no longer need to juggle spreadsheets, calendar apps, waiver forms, and scattered message threads. With CaptainBook AI Assistant, everything is managed from one intuitive dashboard,” he added.

By automating repetitive tasks and minimizing manual work, the AI Assistant allows teams to focus on what truly matters: creating memorable experiences.

Every customer interaction is automatically saved and organised, giving tour operators a centralised view to monitor inquiries, identify opportunities or issues quickly, and follow up efficiently.

This ensures no lead is missed and bookings are closed without delay, helping boost revenue, deliver long-term value for guests, and open new income streams for partners.

With presence in 49 countries – primarily in Southern Europe and the USA – CaptainBook is expanding its global footprint while empowering partners to intelligently automate their operations.

The recent launch of its AI Assistant reinforces CaptainBook’s position as a pioneer in the digitisation of the Tours & Experiences sector.

This milestone follows the announcement of a pre-seed funding round in January 2023 aimed at enhancing the platform and accelerating the development of new products and services.

Since the launch of its software platform in 2021, CaptainBook has remained consistently committed to helping both small and large travel experience companies thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
