Company offers a fully digital eSIM, B2B2C model to select airlines

French travel eSIM provider Kolet has raised $10 million in Series A funding.

The round was led by Daphni, with former Expedia Group CEO Peter Kern and Jon Gieselman, Apple’s former vice president of marketing, also participating.

Founded in 2024, Kolet offers a fully digital eSIM and a B2B2C model, with Air France, KLM, Kiwi.com, Exoticca and Wego among its partners. Last year, Kolet raised €5 million in seed funding.

The Series A round includes €1 million in non-dilutive funding from Bpifrance. According to Kolet, the non-dilutive funding reinforces its mission ‘to offer all travellers seamless, affordable and universal mobile connectivity in over 190 countries’.

Kolet’s tech helps travellers avoid “scary roaming bills” and “Wi-Fi chasing” by offering pre-paid plans for different budgets, according to its website. Travellers can download the app, pick and purchase their data plan, install the eSIM and then activate it before take-off or after landing at their destination.

Kolet said the Series A funding will be used to enrich the user experience on its mobile app and simplify the installation of the eSIM for first-time users. The company also said it has plans to hire 10 new tech, product and business employees over the next 12 months, both in France and internationally.

“This Series A validates our vision: to build a tech service that truly simplifies travellers’ lives. At Kolet, technology is not an end in itself – it’s a lever for creating a seamless, reassuring and deeply human experience,” said Anne-Carole Cöen, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Kolet.
