A new hotel asset at the heart of a fast-growing economic hub

The ibis budget Madrid Albasanz is located in the MADBIT district, which has been transformed from a former industrial area into a centre of innovation and technology. This mixed neighbourhood, home to the headquarters of international companies, now benefits from a budget hotel offer, addressing a previously under-served need for business and leisure travellers.

“The opening of the ibis budget Madrid Albasanz offers a new accommodation option in a dynamic area, in response to the growing demand for budget hotels.” – Inès de l’Aulnoit and Bertrand Pullès of Extendam

Surrounded by parks such as El Paraíso and Quintas de los Molinos, the area offers visitors a pleasant setting while being only 30 minutes from the centre of Madrid by public transport. The area is also home to international companies such as L’Oréal, making it an attractive business location.

An environmentally friendly hotel

In keeping with its commitment to sustainability, the ibis budget Madrid Albasanz has been designed to minimise its environmental impact. The hotel features photovoltaic panels, centralised air conditioning control, automatic shut-off when windows are opened, and other measures to achieve an A energy performance rating.

“We are delighted to contribute to the development of this new district of innovation and technology in Madrid, which is our sixth hotel in the Spanish capital. Thanks to the expertise of our partner DG Invest and its knowledge of the Spanish market, this hotel will quickly respond to the growing needs of the area.” – Inès de l’Aulnoit and Bertrand Pullès of Extendam

DG Invest is also implementing operational measures to reduce food waste and water consumption, while working with associations promoting social inclusion.

Meeting the demand for affordable accommodation

The hotel, designed to welcome national and international guests, offers different types of rooms: single, double and triple. It also has private parking and an outdoor terrace. Extendam and DG Invest are confident that the ibis budget Madrid Albasanz will quickly meet the growing demand for budget accommodation in the MADBIT district.

“This new hotel completes our portfolio of 10 establishments in Spain and responds to a specific need for accessible accommodation for short and medium stays. Our team is ready to offer a quality welcome to a wide range of traveller profiles.” – Laurent Gauze and Jean-Charles Delgado of DG Invest

Thanks to its strategic location and sustainable design choices, the ibis budget Madrid Albasanz is an important addition to Extendam’s hotel portfolio in Madrid. The two companies had already joined forces earlier this year to open an ibis Budget in Cordoba.
