Tourvest customers using Travelit, the end-to-end corporate travel booking solution, are set to benefit from a range of new trip enhancements.

The news comes as the African travel group deploys Amadeus Hey! to offer real-time trip alerts and updates directly through Travelit.

The Amadeus Hey! engagement platform will let Tourvest stay connected with its business travellers throughout their journeys, automatically delivering flight updates, gate changes, check-in reminders and weather forecasts when they need them most.

The solution can also present targeted offers for services like airport lounges, transfers and activities.

Morne du Preez, chief executive of Tourvest Travel Services, said: “Every traveller has a smartphone and expects information at their fingertips.

“With Amadeus Hey!, we put information directly in our travellers’ hands – whether it’s alerting them about a gate change at Charles de Gaulle or offering the ability to book an excursion when meetings end early.

“Our customers now have the power to make decisions on the fly without needing to call a service centre, giving them greater control and ultimately a better travel experience.”

Amadeus Hey! delivers personalized communications across multiple channels, including mobile apps, email and SMS.

The platform works with bookings from any source, making it ideal for Travel Management Companies (TMCs) such as Tourvest needing to keep business travellers safe and informed.

Codjo Ulrich Zocli, head of customer success for Amadeus Hey!, said: “Amadeus Hey! will help Tourvest stand out in the competitive business travel market.

“By anticipating customers’ needs and delivering relevant information right when they need it most, Tourvest not only solves common traveller pain points, but creates a better customer experience and drives brand loyalty and customer retention.”

Tourvest is the leading integrated tourism group in Africa, operating across the business and leisure travel space.

With 60 sector-leading brands, the company currently employs more than 7,000 people.
