Radisson RED expands to Central London
Radisson RED, known for its modern and bold design, will open in a prime location near London’s financial district and iconic landmarks like Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. The hotel will feature at least 182 rooms, a restaurant, bar, gym, and office spaces.
The development is part of PPHE’s strategy to enhance its London portfolio, with the hotel set to open in 2029.
“This site will be a great addition to our development pipeline as we continue to extend our portfolio and presence in the London market. It is an exciting project which leverages our ‘Buy, Build, Operate’ business model and expertise as well as our multi-brand and multi-market segment strategy.” – Greg Hegarty, Co-CEO of PPHE Hotel Group
Sustainability focused development
The site will be developed on a mixed-use plot, which currently includes two old office buildings slated for demolition. The project will emphasize sustainability, aiming for a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ environmental certification.
This is part of Radisson RED’s broader strategy of incorporating sustainable practices into its developments.
“Over 65% of our owners have more than one hotel with us, due to the relevance of our brands, our approach, and results. This marks our first Radisson RED in central London and reflects our commitment to growing our lifestyle portfolio in key global cities.” – Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Global Chief Development Officer of Radisson Hotel Group
Looking ahead
This partnership highlights the ongoing expansion of both Radisson Hotel Group and PPHE Hotel Group, as they continue to meet the demand for lifestyle hotel offerings in major global cities.
The opening of the Radisson RED in central London is part of a wider expansion strategy across the UK Market with openings in Liverpool, Twickenham, Birmingham and Galway in Ireland.
