Beyoncé and Billie Eilish set Paris alight

When Beyoncé’s new tour was announced in February, the crowd went wild, with fans desperate to see her on her rare European dates. In fact, the American star is only stopping off in Paris and London as part of her “Cowboy Carter Tour”.

Such was the enthusiasm that tickets for his Paris dates sold out in the space of a few hours, with a third date added to meet the gargantuan demand. And while the French were quick to snap up the tickets, they were far from the only ones. Many American tourists crossed the Atlantic to see the star at the Stade de France.

According to Opodo data, searches for flights to Paris jumped by 51% for concert dates, with Americans accounting for 20% of demand, followed by Spaniards (10%) and Italians (9%). It’s no coincidence that the French dates are such a hit with American fans. A ticket for one of the Paris concerts costs between €88 and €280, compared with sums of up to $3,000 on the other side of the Atlantic.

And these tourists seem to have taken seasonal rentals by storm, as Airbnb reports. The platform has announced a 75% increase in searches for accommodation in Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis, with the vast majority of bookings made by Americans, alongside Germans, English and Australians.
