Newly refurbished New South Wales property simplified OTA management and grew direct bookings using STAAH’s powerful platform.

Set in the heart of Barham, New South Wales, Barham Bridge Motor Inn is a welcoming, 23-room motel that recently underwent a full refurbishment and emerged as a modern 4-star property. With King, Twin, Family, and even Pet-Friendly rooms, it’s built to suit every kind of traveller — from road trippers and business guests to families and weekenders.

Alongside its fresh interiors, the motel also offers practical and thoughtful amenities, like solar-heated pool access, a guest BBQ area, and a dual EV charger available for guests and the public — a rare find in the region.

But as their offering grew more sophisticated, so did the need for smarter technology behind the scenes.

The shift to STAAH: a smooth move for a growing motel

While Barham Bridge Motor Inn didn’t have major complaints with their previous channel manager, the opportunity to upgrade to a more integrated solution came at the right time. They were exploring a new cloud-based PMS, and Harsha Karam, a STAAH consultant suggested they also consider STAAH for channel management. After trialling both, the decision was easy.

The STAAH team recommended a tailored setup that included the STAAH suite – Channel Manager, Booking Engine, WatchMyRate (to track and compare OTA rates on the website) and Get Google (a direct integration with Google Hotels to increase online visibility on the largest search platform).

Together, this combo helped the team unify their booking process, improve visibility and give guests a seamless online experience — all at a competitive price.

For a motel that’s focused on growth, STAAH ticked all the right boxes. Here’s what the Barham Bridge team loves:

  • Centralised control. One login for all OTA and direct booking management. No more platform-hopping or manual updates.
  • Real-time sync. Rates and availability automatically update across all channels, reducing the risk of overbookings and errors.
  • Mobile-friendly booking engine. Direct bookings via the motel’s website are now easy for guests and commission-free for the property.
  • WatchMyRate widget. This clever feature encourages direct bookings by showing real-time OTA rate comparisons — nudging guests to book direct with confidence.
  • Get Google integration. The motel now appears with a direct “Book Now” link right in Google Hotel Search, boosting visibility and reducing dependency on OTAs.

Early wins and promising growth

It’s early days for Barham Bridge Motor Inn’s STAAH journey, but the signs are promising — even during quieter winter months. The hotel shares that they can already see an improvement from last year. The refurbishments have helped, but better tech to improve their online presence has been the game changer.

As the motel heads into busier seasons, the team is confident they now have the right tools to grow smarter and serve guests more efficiently.

Support that stands out

Another reason the team recommends STAAH? The people behind the platform.

“Harsha and the support team have been fantastic. Every question is answered quickly and clearly — which matters a lot when you’re running a busy property.”

Barham Bridge Motor Inn’s transformation isn’t just about newly renovated rooms — it’s about a better experience from start to finish. And that starts the moment a guest begins their booking journey.

With STAAH’s channel manager, booking engine, and add-ons like WatchMyRate and Get Google, the motel now has a digital setup that matches the quality of its guest offering. They are excited about what’s next — and confident STAAH will help them get there.
