Press Release, JUNE 2025: London-based hospitality and lifestyle brand Mason & Fifth announce the opening of its newest offering – Meadow – a creative workspace aimed at local creatives and makers looking to take their craft to the next level.
Part of the latest Mason & Fifth location, opened in June 2025 along The Grand Union Canal in Westbourne Park, Meadow marks a first for Mason & Fifth. Up until now, the brand has focused on flexible accommodation and is taking the natural step into flexible workspaces for the creative communities of West London.
Designed for local creators, artists and makers, Meadow has been consciously designed with everything members need to be inspired and productive, with natural light flowing from the large windows and plenty of oxygenating plants.
There are two main types of memberships – Workbenches and Workshops. Those looking for a more communal option can choose from daily/weekly/monthly ‘Workbench’ memberships – working from a range of hot-desk style Workbenches, all with ample plug sockets and free locker space. For those looking for a private lockable studio space, there are eight Workshops available, which can be booked for a minimum of three months. The Workshops come in various sizes and are offered as a ‘white box’ studio solution, which can be kitted out as needed.
The Workshops at Meadow have already attracted an inspiring mix of creative members. Acclaimed artist and musician Nabihah Iqbal is one of the first to use the space, alongside Elimu Mas Academy, a registered charity celebrating 45 years of showcasing Caribbean arts at Notting Hill Carnival. Another new Workshop member is The Arts Foundation, also a registered charity, supporting artists and creatives in the UK with unconditional financial Fellowships. Dazed Club has taken two Workshops for their artist residency programme, whilst the eight winning artists create pieces for their end of residency exhibition. And James Horwitz from Two Times Elliott studio is one of the first Workbench members, making Meadow his creative home whilst working on new upcoming design projects.
Meadow is divided into two separate areas. The Conservatory, overlooking the canal, is dedicated Affordable Workspace, with reduced membership rates set aside for local creatives, charities and community groups that may not be able to afford the standard rates. The main Meadow building is across the courtyard, where the communal kitchen, high spec print area, wash-out station, meeting room and phone booths are also located, available to all Meadow members to use freely The Conservatory also doubles up as a large gallery space which members can use to hostevents and exhibitions, as well being offered as a free space for local community groups, out of hours.
Also included within the membership is free bike storage and a post room for receiving with franking and courier services available on request – a much-needed resource for small creative businesses. The space is also dog-friendly for well-behaved pooches who like to come to work with their humans.
Every week there will be a free lunch for all members served up by on-site restaurant Canal, as well as daily bean-to-cup coffee, teas, fruit and snacks. Any members who find themselves working late, can take advantage of the Worker-Bee discount to sleepover for a reduced rate, subject to late availability, and there will be special ‘Live-Work’ packages available for those looking for a one-stop-shop for their accommodation and workspace needs.
Mason & Fifth Founder Ben Prevezer says,
“We are proud to offer local communities in London a dedicated space to create, work and connect within the Westbourne Park neighbourhood. With a lack of maker spaces like these across our city, we hope to have created a haven for ideas to flourish – that’s why we’ve called it Meadow.”
