Origin Hotel Atlanta, a Wyndham Hotel, officially opens its doors today, becoming South Downtown’s newest lifestyle destination. Owned by The Thrash Group and operated by Tandem Hospitality Group, the 122-room boutique hotel blends bold design with Southern charm, offering a vibrant new gathering place in the heart of the city.

The property features an onsite restaurant and bar, a local retail storefront selling ATL-themed gear and souvenirs, a state-of-the-art fitness center, is pet-friendly and offers flexible meeting spaces—including a top-floor private room with sweeping skyline views. Situated in the city’s original business district and just minutes away from major local attractions including Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the Georgia Capitol Museum, this hotel is perfect for explorers and professionals alike.

STAY AWHILE: AMENITIES DESIGNED FOR COMFORT AND CONNECTION

Accommodations at Origin Hotel Atlanta include a variety of layouts: corner king, king classic, corner double queen, double queen classic, a bunk room (fun for families) and a premier suite; accessible options are also available. All rooms feature mini-fridges, Nespresso coffee machines, HD TVs, work desks and wireless charging stations.

In collaboration with Faulkner + Locke—an Atlanta-based art consulting firm known for elevating spaces through curated design—the hotel features a custom accessories collection to reflect its unique charm. Each room includes nostalgic touches like vintage typewriters, custom books and locally inspired memorabilia, assembled exclusively for Origin Atlanta to complement the hotel’s artistic vision.

For a more tailored stay, Origin offers unique in-room enhancements. The Pup Pack caters to four-legged companions with dog bowls, a plush bed, treats and a local guide to dog-friendly spots in Atlanta, while the In-Room Yoga Kit offers a complete wellness setup with a Gaiam yoga mat, fitness towel and an instructional card. Guests who call Georgia home can enjoy 15 percent off the hotel’s best available rate, while couples can toast to their getaway with the Celebrate Love package, which includes a bottle of bubbly and late checkout.

In the coming months, guests will be invited to explore the city on two wheels with complimentary e-Bike rentals, available in partnership with Pedego Atlanta, offering a fresh and flexible way to explore South Downtown. Group rides will be available for corporate gatherings or guest groups.

THE PEOPLE’S BISTRO: AN INSTITUION OF GOOD TASTE

Debuting alongside the hotel is Social Capitol American Bistro (@socialcapitolatl), a vibrant fusion of global flavors and Southern hospitality. Located just off the lobby, the restaurant offers a warm yet sophisticated setting for elevated, scratch-prepared dining. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Social Capitol puts a fresh spin on regional staples using locally sourced ingredients. Specialties include flavorful dishes like peach braised pulled pork, biscuit-battered tenders and hearty skillets. Diners can also enjoy a thoughtful selection of craft cocktails and desserts to round out the experience.

ARTISTIC ROOTS: A STATEMENT SCULPTURE IN THE LOBBY

The hotel’s vibrant sense of place is brought to life the moment guests walk in, thanks to a striking large-scale sculpture titled “ATL” by Atlanta-based artist Phil Proctor. Proctor is the founder of Nucleus Sculpture Studio in South Atlanta and is known for his large public works displayed across the U.S. and internationally. The lobby also features works by other artists, including Ricardo Moody, known for his painted murals throughout Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Adelle Harvey, whose works are influenced by the songs she listens to and the music she writes.

Complementing the visual art is a partnership with The Victorian Atlanta, bringing the natural beauty of the outdoors inside with live plant and floral arrangements that enliven the hotel’s lobby space.

A DOWNTOWN GATHERING PLACE FOR WORK AND CELEBRATION

Origin Hotel Atlanta offers more than 2,500 square feet of distinctive spaces suitable for both corporate and social affairs. The hotel features the Olympic Meeting Room and “The A” Event Space, ideal for board and conference style meetings, while the Private Dining Room provides the perfect setting for productive lunches or formal dinners. The property’s ideal location is just steps away from Atlanta’s historic attractions and government establishments.

Origin Hotel Atlanta is located at 110 Mitchel Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. To learn more, please visit the hotel’s website or call (470) 845-1136.
