A strategic collaboration with AG Group

This expansion in Italy is the result of a partnership between Emblems Collection and AG Group, a recognised player in the luxury hotel sector in Italy.

Since its creation in 2000 by Andrea Girolami, AG Group has diversified into the fields of tourism, hotels and gourmet catering. With more than 40 hotels and a growing portfolio, the group has been a key partner in the development of new properties.

“We are proud to have chosen Accor, with whom we share a desire to cross paths — a journey guided by common values and a shared vision of hotel excellence. Accor has distinguished itself through the richness of its brand portfolio, its global reach and its expertise in crafting unforgettable experiences across all market segments.” – Andrea Girolami, Founder and President of AG Group

Three properties with significant heritage value

Emblems Collection Italie

The first property, Palazzo Sozzini Malvolti in Siena, will open in 2026. Located near Piazza del Campo, this historic palace will feature 38 rooms. The hotel, which will retain original frescoes and 19th-century architectural elements, will offer an intimate spa and rooms showcasing Tuscan craftsmanship.

Next, in Umbria, Relais San Clemente will be housed in a former Benedictine convent, with 52 rooms and villas. This 40-hectare estate will be a sanctuary of tranquillity, with a spiritual atmosphere enhanced by the chapel dedicated to San Clemente.

Finally, in southern Italy, Masseria Furnirussi in Puglia will offer 60 suites, most with private pools, as well as a spa and a range of experiences rooted in Mediterranean culture.

Between expansion and international ambition

These three new hotels will bring the number of Emblems Collection properties in Italy to four, following the recent opening of the Hotel Bellevue Cortina d’Ampezzo, thereby strengthening its presence in this strategic market.

The brand plans further international openings, with projects in Greece, the United Kingdom and Canada, which will strengthen its position in the luxury boutique segment.

‘I am delighted with these three signings in Tuscany, Umbria and Puglia, which perfectly reflect the spirit of Emblems Collection: exceptional destinations offering intimate and exclusive luxury, with a profound sense of space and time standing still.’ – Maud Bailly, Managing Director of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems
