The Space Will Include a Brand-New Sushi Menu and Japanese Whisky Collection with Bespoke Tasting Experiences and Japanese Inspired Cocktails

Fairmont Windsor Park is thrilled to announce that this August, The Library will transform into an intimate Japanese Whisky and Sushi Bar. Blending the elegance of Japanese craftsmanship with the refined atmosphere of a modern speakeasy, this sophisticated concept offers guests a truly elevated dining and drinking experience within one of the hotel’s most atmospheric settings.

The new concept will turn The Library Bar into Surrey and Berkshire’s most desirable culinary and lifestyle destination, celebrating the artistry of Japanese whisky through an immersive sensory journey that delights the palate and stirs the senses. The sophisticated, exclusive space will be an elegant sanctuary for both whisky connoisseurs and sushi enthusiasts, featuring a meticulously curated menu by Chef Giri. With a wealth of experience from Moka London and eight years at the world-renowned Buddha Bar in Abu Dhabi, Chef Giri brings a bold, refined vision to every dish.

The Japanese Whisky Collection:

A curated collection of Japan’s finest whiskies, including rare and aged varieties from renowned distilleries such as Yamazaki, Nikka, and Hakushu will all be available to order at The Library Club. The new concept will also offer expertly crafted whisky flights and bespoke tasting experiences, inviting guests of the hotels and local visitors alike to enjoy exclusive events and unforgettable moments.

The Sushi Menu:

The new concept will also introduce a Japanese flair to Fairmont Windsor Park, further enriching the hotel’s global culinary offerings. The new menu will feature seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, meticulously prepared by Chef Giri, including sashimi, nigiri, maki and small plates and appetizers, inspired by Japanese izakaya culture, providing guests with a variety of shareable dishes.

The Japanese Inspired Cocktails:

In addition to the extensive whisky collection, the bar will feature a curated list of sake, Japanese-inspired cocktails, and premium wines, ensuring a well-rounded beverage offering that complements the culinary experience. Seasonal and innovative cocktails, crafted with Japanese ingredients, will provide guests with a modern twist on classic drinks.

This magnificent Library room is currently home to cherished fixtures from the previous mansion house, such as the ornate, grand open fireplace and library bookcase filled with lovingly preserved original editions, creating a majestic yet calming space. The Library is currently available for daytime meetings, coffee and papers, and private events, before transforming into an intimate bar space in the evenings.

The Library’s new concept is a demonstration of Fairmont Windsor Park’s dedication to its culinary offerings, and joins the hotels existing array of F&B outlets including the 3AA Rosette fine dining restaurant 1215. Set on the hotels south Lawn overlooking a private terrace and manicured gardens, 1215 is an intimate and beautiful setting where diners can enjoy a special occasion or indulge in a culinary experience featuring quality British cuisine. The restaurant is accompanied by the striking 1215 bar, a relaxed and imitate setting serving a mix of exclusive cocktails and exquisite wines.
