Mandarin Oriental is set to open Mandarin Oriental, Vienna toward the end of October. The 138-room hotel is located on the Riemergasse in Vienna’s First District, offering access to the city’s renowned cultural, musical and artistic landmarks.

“Our aim is to create a place that is both a retreat for international travellers and a meeting place for locals with an appreciation of the extraordinary. The historic Art Nouveau building in Riemergasse provides the ideal setting for this,” said Mario Habicher, general manager, Mandarin Oriental, Vienna.

The hotel occupies a heritage-listed former courthouse designed by Alfred Keller and completed in 1908. The building has been carefully restored to preserve its architectural significance while introducing modern elements.

Mandarin Oriental, Vienna offers 86 rooms and 52 suites, including three Mandarin Signature Suites and a grand Royal Suite. Each space has been restored to merge modern comfort with the timeless appeal of Viennese Art Nouveau.

For gatherings and special events, the hotel features seven multifunctional boardrooms and a 140-square-meter ballroom. These spaces offer flexibility alongside unmistakable Viennese sophistication, accommodating meetings, celebrations, and corporate functions.

The hotel’s culinary program is led by Executive Chef Thomas Seifried and spans four distinct concepts under Atelier 7.

“Vienna is ready for a new culinary chapter that surprises, inspires and offers enjoyment at the highest level. Our guests can expect a flavourful journey in a stylish yet inviting setting. Good cuisine should be accessible to everyone who enjoys savouring it, not exclusive,” said Thomas Seifried, executive chef, Mandarin Oriental, Vienna.

Le Sept, the signature fine dining venue, focuses on seafood prepared with contemporary French techniques and subtle Asian influences. Atelier 7 – Brasserie provides all-day dining with an international comfort food menu, Atelier 7 – The Café offers speciality coffees, teas, and pastries, and Atelier 7 – Izakaya and Bar combines Art Nouveau aesthetics with Japanese-inspired cocktails and cuisine.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental offers holistic wellness treatments, signature therapies, and rituals inspired by local traditions. Facilities include seven treatment rooms, a couple’s suite, a VIP treatment area, a fitness centre and an indoor pool.
