Waterford Hotel Group has assumed management of two Marriott-branded properties near Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), marking the company’s entry into the Baltimore market. The dual-branded Aloft Arundel Mills BWI Airport and Element Arundel Mills BWI Airport will benefit from Waterford’s operational experience and national presence.

Aloft Arundel Mills offers loft-style guestrooms, the W XYZ bar with live music, the Re:fuel by Aloft snack bar, a fitness center, and approximately 540 square feet of flexible event space. Element Arundel Mills, designed for longer stays, features apartment-style accommodations with kitchenettes, spa-inspired bathrooms, daily Rise breakfast, an indoor saline pool, 24-hour fitness center, pet-friendly options, and eco-conscious design elements. Both properties are located near Arundel Mills Mall, Maryland Live! Casino, and Fort Meade.

“Managing both Aloft and Element at Arundel Mills allows Waterford to bring fresh energy, operational expertise, and a guest-first approach to a unique dual-brand platform,” said Michael Heaton, president of Waterford Hotel Group. “This milestone marks an exciting expansion into the Baltimore market, and we look forward to enhancing these properties through our deep understanding of Marriott standards and our culture of hospitality.”

Waterford Hotel Group brings nearly 40 years of industry experience and more than 250 years of collective leadership to the management of these hotels. Its portfolio spans full-service and select-service properties, boutique hotels, and conference centers. The transition to Waterford management is expected to strengthen operational performance and enhance guest experiences at both the Aloft and Element properties.
