DoubleTree by Hilton London – Tower of London has completed a multi-million pound refurbishment project covering 201 guest rooms across three floors.

The investment introduces two new categories – Tower Deluxe and Tower Executive – located on the sixth, seventh and eighth floors. The naming reflects the hotel’s proximity to the Tower of London.

The redesign was overseen by Upperworth Studios, Adrian Barboza Design and Morrison Design. Rooms feature autumnal colour schemes of deep red, burnt orange and royal blue, with fittings including antique bronze hardware, modern lighting and custom furnishings. Practical additions include open wardrobes, vanities with shelving and in-room fridges.

The upgrade expands the hotel’s family capacity, with sofa beds in many Tower Deluxe and Tower Executive rooms allowing 33 refurbished rooms to accommodate three guests. Newly created Connected Family Rooms and Queen Rooms with rollaway beds bring the total number of family-suitable rooms to 75.

Hilton said the refurbishment is aimed at broadening the hotel’s appeal beyond its existing business clientele to include more family and leisure guests. Management said early bookings showed strong interest from both corporate and weekend markets.

Savage Garden, the rooftop bar, has also launched a new cocktail menu curated by head mixologist Alessandro Lintas. Named A Cocktail For Every Emotion, it pairs ingredients such as lemon, peach, banana and mint with moods linked to serotonin, oxytocin, dopamine and melatonin. The venue continues to offer a terrace, brunch service and three event spaces.
