Hilton has announced the opening of Conrad Hamburg, marking the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand’s debut in Germany. Located in the historic Levantehaus, an Art Nouveau building designed by architects Franz Bach and Carl Bensel in 1912 in central Hamburg, the hotel offers 283 guest rooms and suites. Drawing on the Levantehaus’ artistic heritage, the property presents itself as an urban retreat with a focus on art and culture.
Conrad Hamburg displays works by both established and emerging German contemporary artists. Its public areas include notable installations, such as Ada Isensee’s coloured leaded glass ceiling, which can be seen from every floor and serves as a visual centrepiece linking the hotel’s spaces.
Guest rooms and suites combine modern comforts with details inspired by Hamburg’s maritime heritage. The hotel includes 28 studios with kitchenettes and 29 suites, while the Presidential Suite spans 232 square metres and offers a private balcony, fireplace, espresso machine and extensive living space.
“With Conrad Hamburg, we’re not just expanding our award-winning luxury brand, we’re making a statement about our commitment to Europe’s most iconic destinations and to the German market. Hamburg’s maritime heritage, vibrant cultural scene and thriving business hub make it a great destination for both business and leisure travellers, and the ideal setting for Conrad Hotels & Resorts’ debut in Germany. This launch brings our distinctive approach to luxury hospitality to this dynamic city” said Simon Vincent CBE, president, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Hilton.
The property also features a 1,000-square-metre spa and fitness area. The spa will open soon and plans to include Hamburg’s longest indoor pool, a sauna and steam bath, luxury treatments and wellness services. An executive lounge and nine event spaces with natural light range from 43-square-metre boardrooms to 228-square-metre rooms, accommodating up to 220 guests.

Dining is led by the GRETA OTO restaurant, which focuses on Latin American cuisine. The restaurant seats 110 guests with an additional 48 seats on the courtyard terrace. La Mesa offers private dining for up to 12 guests. The GRETA OTO Bar serves signature cocktails, including the GRETA OTO Pisco Sour, and a cigar lounge sits next to the bar.
“The debut of Conrad Hamburg expands our guests’ opportunities to immerse themselves in one of Europe’s most dynamic cultural destinations. Through our personalised approach to artful and authentic hospitality, we invite both visitors and locals to discover Hamburg’s remarkable heritage through meaningful experiences that allow guests to connect deeply with the city’s rich cultural landscape,” said Dino Michael, SVP and category head, luxury brands, Hilton.
Situated on Hamburg’s Kunstmeile, Conrad Hamburg is close to City Hall, the Alster lakes and HafenCity’s Elbphilharmonie. It is part of Hilton Honors, offering members benefits such as flexible payment, exclusive discounts and contactless technology through the Hilton Honors app.
