The Catellus Group, a Charlotte-based real estate development firm, has officially broken ground today on the new TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Shelby, North Carolina. This exciting project marks a major investment in Cleveland County’s hospitality infrastructure and is designed to meet the growing demand for extended-stay accommodations. The hotel is slated to open in Fall/Winter 2026.
