Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has opened Sheraton Johor Bahru, marking the brand’s first property in the city. The 345-room hotel introduces Sheraton’s new design and experience concept focused on community, gathering and productivity. It is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio of hotel brands.

“The opening of Sheraton Johor Bahru is a milestone moment for us, as we introduce the brand’s innovative design and community-centric philosophy to key destinations across Malaysia,” said Ramesh Jackson, regional vice president, Malaysia & Indonesia, Marriott International. “With its prime location, thoughtful design, and intuitive service, Sheraton Johor Bahru is more than just a place to stay – it’s a place to belong, where guests can gather, connect, and experience the best of Johor Bahru.”

The hotel is located near the Woodlands checkpoint along the Singapore–Johor Bahru Causeway. It is close to the Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque, Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple, Bazaar Karat Night Market, Legoland Malaysia and Johor Premium Outlets. Senai International Airport is a 45-minute drive from the property.

Sheraton Johor Bahru features a lobby designed to encourage gathering and productivity. Anchored by Sheraton’s Community Table, the space allows guests to work, relax or socialize. Soundproof Booths provide private areas without interrupting the open-lobby experience.

The property offers 345 guest rooms and suites, including Family Rooms and Family Suites with two bedrooms. Family accommodations include a master room with a king-sized bed and a kids’ room with a bunk bed. The Family Suite has a spacious bathroom with a bathtub while the Family Room features a functional layout. Rooms are designed with turquoise tones and coastal-inspired décor. Club-level guests and Marriott Bonvoy Elite members have access to the Sheraton Club with city views for work and relaxation.

Dining options include Daily Social, an all-day restaurant serving international and local dishes, &More by Sheraton, a coffee shop and bar, Soo Noodles offering Asian noodle dishes and a Late-Night Supper menu, and Unspoken Bar, a speakeasy-style venue for cocktails, spirits and wine.

The hotel provides eight event spaces, including a grand ballroom for up to 1,400 guests and flexible meeting rooms. Total event space exceeds 2,295 square meters and includes audio-visual technology and an event services team.

Wellness facilities include the Sheraton Fitness Center and an outdoor pool. Families can access Johor Bahru’s largest kids’ pool, and SKS City Mall is directly connected to the hotel for shopping, dining and entertainment.

“We are thrilled to welcome guests to Sheraton Johor Bahru, a place where travelers and locals can connect, relax, and experience the warmth of our city,” said Vikas Malik, general manager, Sheraton Johor Bahru. “Be it for business or leisure, our guests will find a welcoming haven where they can connect, recharge, and create unforgettable memories.”

Sheraton Johor Bahru offers accommodations, dining, event spaces and wellness facilities designed for families, business travelers and leisure guests, establishing a new Sheraton presence in Johor Bahru.
