Alsace and Brittany lead the way
Copie de OTB – Vacances de Toussaint 2025 par Hospitality ON
Few destinations have a booking rate above 30%, even though we are only two weeks away from the start of the All Saints’ Day holidays. Alsace, Lower Normandy, Brittany and Languedoc-Roussillon stand out and are already positioning themselves as the stars of this period.
After a relatively dynamic summer period, Alsace continues to shine on the tourism scene with a booking rate that has increased by 2.4 points. The destination is also the only one in the panel observed to exceed the 40% mark, proof of its strong appeal. And this momentum will continue until the end of the year with the opening of its famous Christmas markets in November.
Brittany continues its momentum, having posted notable performances throughout the summer holidays, with a booking rate of 34.6%. The region already stood out during the 2023 All Saints’ Day holidays, capitalising on both its coastline and its inland towns and tourist sites. A rich and eclectic events calendar completes its attractive image.
Nevertheless, Languedoc-Roussillon is slightly behind compared to the same period last year, while Lower Normandy is recording a more or less similar level of bookings. This is ironic for the former, as tourism stakeholders in Hérault want to develop activity outside the summer season after a lacklustre 2025 summer season, but nothing is certain yet as more and more visitors are postponing their bookings until the last minute.

A slight delay is also being observed in Rhône-Alpes, even though the area is home to large green spaces and mountain ranges, which are the major tourist trends of recent times. Once again, last-minute bookings are to be expected given the political fog in which France is currently shrouded.
