October 23, 2025

Meriwether Companies and Springboard Hospitality are thrilled to announce the grand opening of Guesthouse, Hotel at La Valle – Guesthouse for short. Located within the coveted La Valle Coastal Club in Rancho Santa Fe, the 77-room boutique hotel has opened its doors following a $15 million hotel renovation led by renowned San Diego-based firm Hannah Gabriel Wells.

“We’re eager to welcome guests to Guesthouse and to be part of the exciting transformation at La Valle Coastal Club,” said General Manager Fernando Fry. “This property was designed to reflect the relaxed luxury and natural beauty of Rancho Santa Fe, while offering an experience that feels both elevated and effortless. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, business trip or wellness retreat, we look forward to creating unforgettable stays rooted in comfort, connection and community.”

Guesthouse’s interiors reflect the serene beauty of San Diego’s North County and relaxed luxury of coastal California. Light wood tones, soft neutral palettes and organic textures create a calming atmosphere, while bespoke details like woven wall art, modern sconces and nature-inspired patterns add warmth and character. Spacious layouts feature plush beds, a cozy sitting area and contemporary furnishings complemented by curated local artwork. Vivid blues, lush greens and sand tones pair with clean architectural lines, warm wood textures and coastal-inspired details.

Guesthouse is a central pillar of the $35 million transformation of La Valle Coastal Club, formerly Morgan Run, a 200-acre retreat just three miles from the beaches of Del Mar. The Club has already introduced eight tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, two private Padel courts, and 18 holes on the championship golf course. Renovations are underway on the final nine holes of the 27-hole golf course, including a new short game area and expanded driving range expected to be completed this fall. The group exercise revamp is complete and will be followed by new gym equipment upgrades. Construction is also in progress on the spa and hydrotherapy circuit which will feature an infrared sauna, dry sauna and cold plunge areas, along with major clubhouse upgrades, including the entry, restaurant and event spaces. Swimming pool construction is set to begin in the fall.

“Guesthouse at La Valle represents exactly the kind of thoughtful, experience-driven property we’re proud to bring to life,” said Rob Robinson, president of Springboard Hospitality. “By combining boutique accommodations with exclusive access to one of Southern California’s most dynamic private clubs, we’re creating a destination that’s both aspirational and welcoming. It’s a place where guests can relax, recharge and immerse themselves in everything North County San Diego has to offer.”

Guests of Guesthouse will have the unique opportunity to stay like a member of La Valle Coastal Club, with exclusive access to the Club’s resort-style pool, racquet sports facilities, fitness center and social putting green. They’ll also receive complimentary parking and entry to the upcoming hydrotherapy circuit, which will feature an infrared sauna, dry sauna, and cold plunge areas. For an additional fee, guests can enhance their stay with access to spa treatments, semi-private Pilates sessions, group fitness classes and tee times on the Club’s championship golf course.

To celebrate its debut, Guesthouse is offering a limited-time Grand Opening Package designed to give early guests a taste of the full La Valle experience. The offer includes 20% off a minimum two-night stay, plus a $100 La Valle Coastal Club credit that can be used toward dining, golf, club merchandise and more, making it the perfect opportunity to explore the newly reimagined resort and amenities.
