Curtain Bluff, the iconic Antiguan resort, will reopen for its 64th season in early November, boasting a multi-million dollar transformation across its 42 suites and signature beachfront restaurant, Sea Grape. Behind this vision are two notable design firms, OBMI and Studio Talomb, who oversaw the transformation centered on timeless Caribbean charm with refined, modern comfort. Under the guidance of new ownership, Tim and Pat Scott, entrepreneurs from the United Kingdom, the all-inclusive resort will be reimagined while also prioritizing the guest-beloved ethos that Curtain Bluff has maintained for more than 60 years.

“As we prepare to open our doors for the 64th season, our entire Curtain Bluff family can not wait to welcome our guests in to experience this new chapter for the resort,” said Managing Director, Rob Sherman. “From redesigned guest rooms to a reimagined beachfront dining space, these newest updates are reflective of our passion and priority for creating lasting experiences for every guest who walks through our doors – whether they’ve been visiting for years or newly discovering Curtain Bluff.”

The newly renovated suites at Curtain Bluff—including all 40 Junior Suites and the Grace and Morris Bay Suites—have been thoughtfully designed to capture the resort’s essence as a refined yet relaxed Caribbean home away from home. Each of the 42 suites will receive a floor-to-ceiling update featuring bespoke furnishings, original artwork, and a range of Caribbean-inspired color palettes, creating an interior that seamlessly blends classic-contemporary English styling with Caribbean ease and character. Furniture and finishes have been carefully selected to strike a balance between elegance and homeliness, creating spaces that feel both personal and welcoming. Handcrafted details and richly textured materials will elevate comfort and convey a sense of collected charm, while rattan accents bring heritage craftsmanship into the fold, lending quiet elegance and a deep sense of place. The bespoke sculptural headboards, chairs, and textured tables found in the suites add personality and purpose to suit the diverse mix of travelers Curtain Bluff welcomes, from honeymooners to multigenerational families. Locally sourced accents, curated accessories, and playful touches of color round out each room, bringing the island spirit fully to life.

Sea Grape, Curtain Bluff’s open-air, beachfront restaurant, is also being thoughtfully reimagined by OBMI and Studio Talomb to reflect a more elevated aesthetic while preserving its signature playful spirit. A striking new bar, finished in blue and white mosaic tile, serves as the centerpiece of the refreshed space, paired with pendant lighting and casual lounge-style seating. Guests are welcome to imbibe barside or at the new pre-dinner drinks relaxation area. A new glass-enclosed, air-conditioned buffet room allows the venue to shift effortlessly from vibrant family gatherings by day to a more intimate, ambient dining experience come evening. The kitchen has also been enlarged with new top-of-the-line appliances as well to accommodate the expertly led culinary team at Curtain Bluff, a Relais & Châteaux hotel. Locally inspired details and thoughtfully curated materials throughout ensure the restaurant remains both fresh and deeply familiar.

In addition to the transformed Seagrape and suites, new guest amenities will also be rolled out, including luxurious Bentley airport transfers available for guests. These new amenities will add to the incredible and thoughtful offerings that are already extended to guests through the all-inclusive resort including world-class tennis facilities, watersports and scuba diving available right from the hotel’s dock, a dedicated adults-only Wellness Area with yoga pavilion and infinity pool overlooking to Caribbean Sea, award-winning spa, fully equipped expansive fitness center, and more. With the dedicated Cee Bee kids’ club, family-friendly accommodations, and a wide array of activities for all ages, Curtain Bluff is also the perfect Caribbean escape for families seeking both relaxation and adventure.
