Waikīkī Beach Marriott Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Weatherill as General Manager. Weatherill brings with him over four decades of hospitality leadership experience across managed and franchise hotel operations, with a proven track record of team development, financial performance and property transformation. In his new role, Weatherill will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, guest experience and strategic growth, with a focus on elevating service standards and deepening the resort’s cultural connections to the destination.

“This property holds a special place within the Marriott portfolio and I’m truly honored to join the team,” said General Manager Mark Weatherill. “I look forward to building on its legacy by continuing to deliver exceptional guest experiences and fostering a culture of aloha and excellence with our team.”

Weatherill began his career with Marriott in 1984 at the Sheraton Cavalier and has since held diverse leadership roles including Director of Rooms, Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Operations and General Manager. He most recently served as Complex General Manager at The Westin Galleria Houston and The Westin Oaks Houston at the Galleria, where he successfully led the team through a 36-month renovation while increasing profitability and associate engagement scores. Both hotels were named Hotel of the Year in the U.S. & Canada in the Managed by Marriott Full Service Awards under his guidance. Weatherill’s strategic leadership at properties such as The Westin Buckhead Atlanta and the Memorial City Hotel Complex in Houston has earned him accolades in financial performance, guest satisfaction and team engagement.
