A new arrival in the heart of the capital
The Hoxton Madrid will be housed in a landmark modernist building designed by Jesús Carrasco-Muñoz y Encina, located in the historic centre of the Spanish capital.
Just steps away from major cultural landmarks such as the Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen-Bornemisza museums, the future Hoxton will benefit from a central location in one of Madrid’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. Plaza de Santa Ana, known for its cafés, markets, and theatres, will offer guests direct access to the city’s lively atmosphere.
Featuring 192 rooms and suites across five categories, the hotel will combine local architectural influences with the distinctive Hoxton design aesthetic.

The refurbishment will be led by the architecture firm Petra AM, with the support of Urban Input Group, already involved in The Hoxton projects in Paris and Poblenou.
Spaces designed for connection
The project will feature a large open-plan lobby combining a café, lounge, and workspace. The Il Bambini Club concept, already established in Paris and London, will make its Madrid debut with a relaxed trattoria and bar.
The rooftop, named Cayo Coco, will offer city views and serve as a social spot, following the success of the concept first introduced in Vienna.
The hotel will also include The Apartment, a flexible event space designed to host both professional and private gatherings.
Lifestyle hospitality expanding across Europe
“We’re delighted to be growing The Hoxton’s portfolio with another exciting property in Spain. Madrid has long been on our radar, and this modernist gem of a building will be the perfect home for the brand. The Hoxton’s pipeline for the coming years is strong, with Madrid among several openings in Europe, including Oslo, Kraków, and Hamburg.” – Sharan Pasricha, Founder and Co-CEO of Ennismore
Ennismore, which is reportedly considering a future IPO, continues to strengthen its footprint in Spain following recent openings such as SLS Barcelona, Mondrian Ibiza, and SO/ Sotogrande — showcasing the diversity of its lifestyle portfolio across the region.
The Hoxton brand has experienced steady growth this year, with new hotels announced in Dublin, Edinburgh, and Kraków. These openings will mark the brand’s debut in each of these countries, extending its European presence even further.
