Why do families of 5 bypass hotels more often than smaller families?
(Hint: it’s not because they prefer Airbnb.)

If you’ve ever travelled as a family of 5, you know the pain:

❌ Rooms that simply don’t fit everyone
❌ Prices that jump the moment child number 3 appears
❌ “Family options” that still force you into separate rooms

Most hotels offer one of the following:

✔️ Two double beds (aka: everyone’s on top of each other)
✔️ Bunk-bed rooms (great until you realise it’s only for 2 kids)
✔️ Family suites (rare, and usually expensive)
✔️ On-site apartments (even harder to find)
✔️ Connecting rooms (if the stars align)

So what ends up happening?

Families choose apartments, villas, houses they can find on Airbnb. Not because they want to skip hotels, but because hotels don’t accommodate them.

Hotel owners: this is a huge gap!

Families of 5 aren’t a niche.

They’re growing and incredibly loyal when you meet their needs.

Here’s what helps:

🛏️ Clearly defined room types that truly sleep 5
📸 Photos that show the exact bedding configuration
💶 Fair pricing eg. don’t punish larger families
👶👦👧 Design that works from toddler to teen

Ever stayed somewhere that actually got it right for a family of 5?
