Kinsfolk and Co will open its first hotel, The Newman, in London’s Fitzrovia on 1 February 2026, with reservations now available. The hospitality management company said The Newman has been shaped by a team of hoteliers and restaurateurs with long experience in the capital. Their backgrounds include senior roles at Corbin and King, The Standard, The Beaumont and The Goring.
The hotel’s launch has also been spearheaded by Kinsfolk and Co’s founder Paul Brackley and The Newman’s general manager, Oliver Milne-Watson.
The Newman will feature 81 rooms, suites and apartments, some with balconies, in a contemporary Art Deco style. A rooftop floor can be taken as a four-bedroom suite and includes a terrace, sauna and ice plunge.
Two venues – the Brasserie Angelica and the Gambit Bar – will open alongside the hotel in February. The brasserie will serve an all-day European menu with Northern European influences, while the bar will host a programme of events including DJ sets and chess nights.
Wellness facilities will include a halotherapy room, Finnish sauna, steam room, Ice Lounge, hydrotherapy plunge pool and experience showers. The Newman has partnered with brands such as Nuori, Moss of the Isles, KLORIS and recovery technology firm Hyperice for its treatment offering.
London design studio Lind and Almond led the interiors, drawing on the area’s cultural history. The firm has introduced references to figures associated with Fitzrovia, including writer Nancy Cunard, into an aesthetic described by the hotel as refined with “stylish, unfussy touches”.
The Newman has recruited staff through a local partnership with social enterprise Saira Hospitality. The collaboration created what the hotel said was the first pop-up hospitality school inside an unopened hotel, running in summer 2025 and aimed at people facing barriers to employment.
