Mews Systems Ltd

Kaatsheuve – Mews, the leading operating system for hospitality, has today announced that Efteling, one of Europe’s most iconic theme park destinations, has chosen Mews to power its guest operations and deliver frictionless experiences across all its accommodations.

Efteling’s four Hotels & Resorts properties – Efteling Grand Hotel, Efteling Wonder Hotel, Efteling Loonsche Land and Efteling Bosrijk – are now unified through Mews’ open API platform, which enables deep integration with the park’s digital ecosystem. From custom booking flows to automated guest journeys, Mews provides the technological backbone that keeps Efteling’s “worlds of wonder” connected long after the park gates close.

The experience of Efteling doesn’t have to end when the park closes. We wanted technology that could evolve with our imagination. With Mews, we can connect everything – from booking to access – through one intelligent system that enhances every guest interaction. Willem Roskam, Director of Technology & Innovation at Efteling

By leveraging the flexibility of Mews’ open API, Efteling has built a fully integrated digital experience across its website, mobile app, and chatbot. Guests receive digital room keys, manage reservations, and access park tickets directly from their phone – eliminating the need for traditional check-in processes.

Mews’ open architecture also enables Efteling to connect seamlessly with other technology partners, such as Salto for digital access control, creating a single ecosystem that unites guest experience and back-office efficiency. Roskam explained: Our vision is for guests to have an enhanced, immersive stay, and we want our technology to reflect that. With the Mews API, we have the flexibility to build exactly what we need. Our approach is unique, and Mews understands that we’re not a typical property. It’s not just about the hotel; it’s about the guest experience.

The impact has been immediate. By automating manual tasks and centralizing operations, processes are now significantly faster and less burdensome on staff, who are empowered to focus on delivering more ‘wow’ moments for guests. The combination of Efteling’s boundary-breaking approach and the power of Mews’ cloud-based platform has set a new benchmark for guest-centric, tech-enabled hospitality in Europe.

Efteling embodies what’s possible when creativity meets open technology. Their team is using Mews to build something truly unique: a hospitality experience that’s magical, seamless, and deeply personal. This partnership shows how our open API empowers visionary brands to redefine what’s possible in guest experience. Matt Welle, CEO of Mews

With Mews at its core, Efteling is setting a new benchmark for experiential hospitality in Europe – where operational excellence and imagination work hand in hand.
