Kasa has opened its newest property in downtown San Diego, located in the Little Italy neighborhood. This marks the company’s second location in the city, continuing its expansion in the San Diego market.

Situated in the heart of Little Italy, the property is close to San Diego’s popular attractions, including the Convention Center, Gaslamp Quarter and the waterfront.

Kasa Little Italy offers a range of accommodations, with features such as fully equipped kitchens, in-unit laundry and smart home technology designed to provide a comfortable and seamless experience for guests.

Guests can choose from five room types, ranging from studios to one- and two-bedroom apartments, many offering views of the bay.

The hotel also provides a variety of amenities, including an indoor and outdoor fitness center, yoga and Pilates studios, a sauna, cold plunge and a massage room. An open-air deck with seating areas is available for relaxation. The hotel will debut an outdoor pool later this year.

“We’re thrilled to bring Kasa to San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. This property showcases our ability to partner on one-of-a-kind new developments, delivering exceptional stays with amenities unmatched by nearby hotels,” said Roman Pedan, founder and CEO of Kasa.

This property represents Kasa’s continuing growth in San Diego, further establishing the company as a provider of modern, digitally-enabled accommodations in key urban locations.

In late 2024, Kasa expanded into New Orleans with the reopening of the historic Lafayette Hotel, which was rebranded as The Lafayette New Orleans by Kasa. Featuring French doors, Juliet balconies and views of Lafayette Square, the hotel has been a landmark since it first opened doors in 1916. Kasa upgraded the hotel to include a 24/7 virtual support, seamless check-in and smart technology to deliver convenient and personalized service.

Kasa, the tech-powered hotel and aparthotel brand and manager, currently has more than 85 properties in the U.S. and partnerships with institutions like Starwood Capital, Berkshire and Brookfield.
