Minor Hotels is expanding its presence in China and will be debuting its Anantara Hotels & Resorts brand in Sichuan province. Minor Hotels has announced plans to open Anantara Xiling Snow Mountain Chengdu Resort this October.
The resort will be developed in partnership with Sichuan Dexinhousheng Enterprise Management Co., Ltd and will offer access to key attractions along Western Sichuan’s Golden Tourist Route.
Located in Dayi County, an hour from Chengdu, the 111-room luxury resort will leverage the national and cultural assets of the National 5A Tourist Attraction, the highest distinction awarded by China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The area is known for skiing at Xiling Snow Mountain, Huashuiwan Hot Springs and proximity to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

The resort’s interiors will be designed by Cheng Chung Design, incorporating views of the surrounding landscape. Guest accommodations will range from 100 to 500 square meters and provide access to piped hot spring water. Amenities will include a swimming pool, an Anantara Spa, a wellness center, entertainment space and multiple dining options, including a Chinese restaurant with private dining rooms.
The property will also cater to events with 800 square meters of banquet and meeting space.
“We are honored to collaborate with Sichuan Dexinhousheng Enterprise Management to bring the first Anantara to Sichuan, a destination where innovation and traditional charms coexist harmoniously. Anantara guests expect a blend of local heritage and modern luxury, making this project the perfect fit. Together, we look forward to promoting sustainable tourism development in the region,” said Eddy Tiftik, vice president of operations and development for Greater China at Minor Hotels.
Partnering with Minor Hotels will bring new energy to China’s regional tourism and elevate Sichuan’s high-end market, said Zhou Jinguang, chairman of Sichuan Dexinhousheng Enterprise Management.
“Chengdu is one of the country’s natural and cultural gems and Anantara’s expertise will help showcase the region’s beauty while respecting the environment,” Jinguang said.
Anantara Xiling Snow Mountain Chengdu Resort will be the third Anantara property in China, following Anantara Guiyang Resort and Anantara Xishuangbanna Resort. A member of the Global Hotel Alliance, Minor Hotels is growing its global presence and is aiming to add over 200 hotels by the end of 2026. The hospitality group operates more than 560 hotels, resorts and residences across 57 countries.
