London’s latest destination, TAMISé, by leading hospitality design team Studio Moren, can be found at the newly-launched Park Hyatt River Thames, featuring spectacular panoramic views over the river.

The interior design scheme of this exquisite 64-cover wine library and tea lounge takes inspiration from London’s rich heritage, the grandeur of the River Thames, as well as the twinkling lights of the city’s night-time skyline. Studio Moren has designed TAMISé as its own unique destination, its concept distinct from the design of the wider Park Hyatt London River Thames hotel – the brand’s flagship property in the UK.

An enchanting, theatrical walkway links TAMISé to the wider hotel, featuring a series of grand arches that connect with the radial pattern of the travertine floor, amplified by the extensive use of antiqued mirror.

Beyond the arched entrance, guests can enjoy the expansive views from which the space takes much of its inspiration. The ebb and flow of the Thames inspires much of the detailing in this spectacular destination, expressed seamlessly in its exquisite furniture, joinery detailing and architectural forms.

The curved brass and fluted timber-fronted bar is edged with triple bullnose black granite. Elegant, scalloped oak columns frame views of the river, while the walls are adorned with a carefully curated series of antiqued mirror panels, feature wallcoverings and Calacatta Viola book matched panels.

Artwork includes Mappa Mundi London, by renowned artist Edward David Eason, which features the use of precious materials; and Mirror, Light & Dark by internationally celebrated George Blacklock, inspired by the classic Picasso piece, Girl Before the Mirror.

Much of the seating is upholstered in a selection of luxurious velvets in rich hues, complemented by off-white textured boucles on feature armchairs as well as a series of accent patterns on key pieces.

The Turkish Black and Gris Pulpis stone floor is a graphic interpretation of the Thames’ movement and sits alongside a rich oak flooring, connecting TAMISé’s different viewpoints of the river and inviting seating areas to browse the 300-label wine collection on offer.

The intimate wine cellar, in which to sample wines from the 2,000 bottles on site from 24 countries, features marbled textured wallpaper and further layers of leather, brass, marble and glass, adding richness and depth to the space.

A collection of feature gold pendant lights connects the entire wine bar and tea lounge as one stunning concept, sparkling against the London skyline.

Elena Verdera Pastor, Associate Interior Designer at Studio Moren said “We are immensely proud of the design of TAMISé. It exudes elegance and luxury, showcasing our design expertise and ability to craft exceptional interiors. It’s a wonderful new destination for Londoners and for those who have travelled from afar to enjoy the best that this city has to offer. Its launch marks the culmination of our role as interior designer of the space and hotel architect of Park Hyatt London River Thames.”

“TAMISé represents a new chapter in London’s wine culture,” says Rike Erdbrink, General Manager of Park Hyatt London River Thames. “It is an extraordinary space that captures the essence of Park Hyatt’s philosophy – a profound reverence for exceptional experiences. Opening on Valentine’s Day allows us to immediately showcase TAMISé as the perfect setting for memorable occasions.”
