Maison Heler, located in Metz’s dynamic Amphithéâtre district, will open its doors in 2025, offering a unique hotel experience inspired by the imagination of its creator, Philippe Starck. This new hotel expands the portfolio of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand.

Maison Heler in Metz: a concept combining art, design and imagination

Maison Heler is a new hotel in the Amphithéâtre district of Metz, offering 104 rooms and suites. This unique place is inspired by the novel La Vie Minutieuse de Manfred Heler by Philippe Starck, the hotel’s designer. The hotel is distinguished by its architecture and design, fusing modernity with historical influences.

The hotel’s architecture is inspired by the 19th-century style of Lorraine, while incorporating contemporary and surrealist elements. Philippe Starck conceived the hotel as a living work of art, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the imagination of the mysterious Manfred Heler, the novel’s central character.

Each floor and room of the hotel has been carefully designed to offer guests an immersive and original experience.

The design of the rooms incorporates references to 1970s architecture, while respecting Metz’s architectural heritage. They also offer a sensory experience with poetic elements scattered throughout the spaces, such as quotations and surprising objects, to stimulate guests’ imaginations.

F&B&E spaces like no other

Maison Heler offers several dining areas, including the restaurant La Cuisine de Rose, a brasserie designed by Philippe Starck. The restaurant evokes Manfred Heler’s love for his sweet Rose, with a warm atmosphere and a menu that combines local produce and creativity.

The lobby bar and rooftop restaurant also offer exceptional views of the city.

The hotel has five modular spaces for conferences, seminars and private events. These spaces are designed to stimulate reflection and creativity, while offering the right setting for a variety of occasions, from wine tasting to meditation or brainstorming sessions.

La Maison de Manfred, on the top floor, offers a family restaurant with panoramic views over the city. The building is adorned with a stained glass window created by artist Ara Starck, which illustrates the surreal history of Metz through symbols and anamorphoses.

Maison Heler

Maison Heler is part of Metz’s cultural dynamic, and its opening marks a new chapter in contemporary hotel design, combining poetry, art and design. Rooted in the city’s literary imagination and historic architecture, this hotel offers a new way of experiencing and discovering the capital of Lorraine.
