The Studio is now open.

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has opened its first Hyatt Studios property in Mobile, Ala., marking the launch of the extended-stay brand. Hyatt Studios Mobile / Tillmans Corner officially opened following a soft launch earlier in the year, with a ribbon-cutting event attended by Hyatt executives, hotel partners and local officials.

“The grand opening of Hyatt Studios Mobile / Tillmans Corner marks an exciting milestone as we continue to expand our offerings to meet the growing demand for extended stay accommodations,” said Dan Hansen, global head of Hyatt Studios.

“This is just the beginning for the Hyatt Studios brand as the brand demonstrates enthusiasm among hotel owners and developers for this brand. We’re proud to celebrate the grand opening with 3H Group and LBA Hospitality, whose dedication has brought the Hyatt Studios vision to life.”

Located in the Tillmans Corner area, the hotel sits under 10 miles from Mobile International Airport and within reach of downtown Mobile and Gulf Coast attractions. Business travelers have access to nearby manufacturing, aerospace, maritime and healthcare industries. Local landmarks include the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, GulfQuest National Maritime Museum and Bellingrath Gardens.

The property includes 122 apartment-style suites, each with a kitchen featuring a full-size refrigerator, built-in cooktop, dishwasher, microwave with air fryer and convection settings and essential cookware. Suites also have a designated lounge area with sofa or sleeper sofa, multifunction table and storage designed for longer stays. Additional amenities include a 24/7 market, free grab-and-go breakfast, fitness studio, guest laundry, EV charging stations and an outdoor patio with firepit and grill.

An expanded borrows program lets guests check out items for cooking, children or pets. Hyatt Studios also offers free fiber internet across all properties. Hyatt Studios joins Hyatt’s Essentials portfolio alongside Caption by Hyatt, Hyatt House, Hyatt Place and Hyatt Select.

3H Group, the developer and owner, opened the property in collaboration with LBA Hospitality, which manages more than 115 hotels across the southeastern U.S. “As the first developer to break ground on a Hyatt Studios hotel and now the first to open one, we’ve seen firsthand how this brand fills a critical gap in the extended stay space,” said Hiren Desai, president and CEO of 3H Group.

“The Hyatt Studios brand offers a smart, efficient design and a flexible operating model that resonates with both guests and owners. The brand’s focus on quality extended stay experiences, paired with Hyatt’s strong support and reputation, made it a compelling investment for us, and we’re excited to continue growing with additional Hyatt Studios projects in the future.”

3H Group is planning further developments under the brand, including hotels in Huntsville, Ala. and Jacksonville, Fla. Other projects with Hyatt include a dual-branded Hyatt Place and Hyatt House in East Nashville, Tenn. and a Caption by Hyatt in Chattanooga, Tenn., expected to be the first Hyatt in that market.
