Dorint Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Michael Rohr as Area General Manager, effective April 1, 2025. In his new role, Rohr is tasked with overseeing the strategic development and management of seven resort hotels within the Dorint portfolio.
He will also assume the position of General Manager for the Dorint Seehotel & Resort Klink/Müritz, which is currently under construction, and report directly to Stefanie Brandes, COO of the hotel group.
International experience
With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Michael Rohr brings a wealth of international expertise to his new role. His career spans a variety of prestigious hotel brands and management positions, both on land and at sea. Rohr has previously worked for Aldiana, a premium club resort brand, overseeing resorts in countries such as Turkey, Tunisia, Senegal, and Spain.

He also spent nearly seven years with AIDA Cruises, eventually serving as Vice President of Guest Services, Hotel & Entertainment. In 2012, Rohr returned to the hotel sector as the COO of Aldiana GmbH, where he led operations until 2016. Before joining Dorint, he served as the General Manager of the Océano Health Spa Hotel in Tenerife, where he worked for several years.

Expanding Dorint’s Resort portfolio
As Area General Manager, Rohr will oversee the continued development of Dorint’s seven resort hotels, which include high-profile properties such as the Dorint Marc Aurel Resort Bad Gögging, Dorint Seehotel Binz-Therme, and Dorint Strandhotel Binz/Rügen. Additionally, he will manage the Dorint Sporthotel Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Dorint Strandresort & Spa Sylt/Westerland, and Dorint Resort Baltic Hills Usedom.
His leadership will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued success and expansion of the brand’s resort offerings.
