Sonrojo brings the real taste of Spain to the blossoming culinary hotspot of Cala Llonga: A new beachside restaurant with laid-back Mediterranean vibes and authentic Spanish flavours in Ibiza.

Overlooking the crystal waters of Cala Llonga, Sonrojo is the latest addition to Mondrian and Hyde’s gastronomic portfolio.

Cala Llonga welcomes a brand new beachside dining destination this season: Sonrojo, an authentic Spanish chiringuito serving Mediterranean cuisine along Ibiza’s captivating sun-soaked coastline. Set against a backdrop of turquoise waters and lush mountains, Sonrojo is a relaxed, beachside escape where travellers and residents can savour traditional Spanish dishes, sip ice-cold beers or sangria, and soak in the spirit of the Balearics.

Designed for carefree afternoons with sandy toes and sea-salty skin, Sonrojo is more than just a restaurant, it’s an invitation to unwind, share good food, and embrace the Mediterranean lifestyle. Inspired by the easy-going charm of classic Spanish beach bars, the menu showcases KM 0 ingredients sourced locally and dishes that are made to be shared, celebrating flavourful Spanish food with a contemporary twist.

New dishes feature bold and creative adaptations, from Andalusian-style Calamari with Citrus Mayonnaise, Ibérico Ham Croquettes, and Grilled Octopus with Ají Purée and Pork Cracklings, to standout paellas and seasonal fresh light salads. Guests can also indulge in small plates such as the Red Tuna Tartare ‘Sonrojo’ style, Cured Angus Carpaccio and Green Ceviche, for laid-back dining by the sea. Desserts include homemade treats like Basque-style Cheesecake or the traditional Spanish torrija.

No traditional Spanish meal is complete without a glass (or jug) of Sangria, and Sonrojo’s bar offers a playful take on the classics with Frozen White or Red Sangria using Ibicencan and Spanish wines and fizz, seasonal fresh fruit, and herbs.

Cocktails and coolers with a Sonrojo twist include El Dorado Margarita or the refreshing Daiquiri de Sandía y Flor de Sauco, combining Bacardi Carta Blanca, St Germain, Lime, and Fresh Watermelon Juice.

For those seeking a lighter option, the drinks list includes alcohol-free creations like the Miche-Nada de Maracuya with Pentire Seaward, Habanero, Passionfruit, Lime, Agave and Alcohol-Free Beer, the Coastal Spritz with Pentire Coastal Spritz and London Essence Tonic, or the Vibrante & Soda with Martini Vibrante, Watermelon Juice and London Essence Soda – all perfect for long, leisurely lunches by the sea.

Sonrojo’s warm, welcoming atmosphere flows across its beachfront space, where guests can relax in the open-air terrace, unwind in cosy indoor corners, or book private areas for more intimate gatherings. Part of the seven dining destinations within the Mondrian & Hyde Ibiza portfolio, Sonrojo joins two of the island’s most exciting hotel additions in helping to establish Cala Llonga as Ibiza’s next gastronomic hotspot, inviting locals and visitors alike to explore the bohemian charm of the East.

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick post-swim bite, a long, leisurely lunch, or simply an excuse to enjoy the view, Sonrojo offers an experience that’s all about slowing down and soaking up the best of island life.
