IHG Hotels & Resorts announces the opening of Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell, which officially welcomed guests on Friday, 6 June 2025. The four-star boutique hotel blends contemporary design with the rich heritage of one of London’s most storied districts.

Located at 2 Clerkenwell Road, just a five-minute walk from Farringdon Station, the hotel is ideally positioned for business travellers. With direct connections to Heathrow and Gatwick airports via the Elizabeth Line and Thameslink, and fast access to central London’s key commercial hubs, it offers exceptional convenience for domestic and international guests alike.

Owned by the Davies family and operated by Axiom Hospitality, Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell features 143 guest rooms, including nine suites, each inspired by the area’s legacy of craftsmanship – from clockmaking to goldsmithing and architecture. Every room is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, espresso machines, Urban Apothecary amenities and versatile workspaces, offering both comfort and functionality for short or extended stays.

As part of the Hotel Indigo® portfolio, the property is designed to reflect the unique character of its neighbourhood, delivering an experience that is both rooted in place and attuned to the needs of today’s corporate traveller. The opening reflects IHG’s commitment to providing design-rich, experience-led hotels that combine local authenticity with operational excellence.

Dining and hospitality options are tailored to business needs. Wilderness Kitchen, the all-day dining venue, offers a flexible setting for client lunches, team gatherings or informal networking, with a Mediterranean-influenced menu centred on seasonal British produce. Sabini Bar, located in the lobby, provides a polished but relaxed space for post-meeting drinks, with interiors inspired by 1920s Clerkenwell and a curated selection of cocktails, wines and artisan brews. Hat and Feathers, a Grade II-listed Victorian pub within the hotel, offers a distinctive venue for team socials or entertaining, serving traditional British dishes and an ever-evolving selection of ales.

The hotel also features two meeting and event rooms, located above Hat and Feathers. With natural daylight and period detailing, the spaces can host up to 60 guests and are suited to board meetings, workshops, private dining or networking events. Hat and Feathers pub is also available for exclusive hire for larger events and gatherings.

Keith Davies, Owner of Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell, said:

“As a family-owned business, opening this hotel is a proud milestone. We’ve embedded our values throughout the property – from the guest experience to our service philosophy – creating a place where business travellers can feel productive, comfortable and connected.”
