Accor will expand its Emblems Collection in Italy with three new hotels opening in 2026. The properties, located in Siena, Umbria, and Apulia, are part of a long-term partnership with Rome-based AG Group. The collection, launched in 2022, targets the luxury segment through conversions of unique and locally rooted properties.

The Siena hotel, Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti, will have 38 rooms and is housed in a historical residence near Piazza del Campo. It features original frescoes, private gardens, and period architectural details. In Umbria, the 51-key Relais San Clemente will reopen following a renovation. Set on a 40-hectare estate near Perugia, the site was once a Benedictine convent and includes a consecrated chapel. In Apulia, Masseria Furnirussi will include 60 suites, most with private pools, and is surrounded by Europe’s largest organic fig orchard.

“We are proud to have chosen Accor, with whom we share the desire to intertwine our path — a journey shaped by shared values and a common vision of excellence in hospitality. Accor stood out as a constellation of diverse brands, a powerful global presence, and an artisan of unforgettable guest experiences across every market segment. The decision to collaborate was not only strategic, but profoundly inspired. Among its brands, Emblems resonated deeply with us: it embodies a refined sense of place, cultural richness, and timeless elegance — qualities that harmonize beautifully with Italy’s heritage of hospitality and our own vision of contemporary luxury,” said Andrea Girolami, founder and president of AG Group.

The hotels will join Hotel Bellevue in Cortina d’Ampezzo as part of Emblems’ Italian portfolio. Other projects in the global pipeline include Lucknam Park in the UK, Elatos Resort in Greece, and Rimrock Banff in Canada.

“I’m delighted with these three signatures in Siena, Umbria, and Apulia, which perfectly match the spirit of Emblems Collection: exceptional destinations, offering luxury that is both intimate and exclusive, with a profound sense of space and suspended time. Because that’s what Emblems brand is all about: the promise of discovering unique places, deeply rooted in their heritage and history, where simplicity meets sophistication. My heartfelt thanks to AG Group for these three emblematic projects together,” said Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems.
