Ireland: Real estate investment firm CBRE has launched the sale of the International Hotel Killarney with a guide price of €18–20 million (£15.5-17.3 million).

CBRE said the offering is exceptionally rare, as it has been nearly a decade since a major Killarney hotel has come to market.

The International Hotel has been in the hands of the Coyne family since 1976. The property includes 98 bedrooms and suites alongside Hannigan’s Bar and Restaurant and several event and lounge spaces.

It is located in the town centre, close to Killarney National Park, the Ring of Kerry, and the Wild Atlantic Way.

The property is offered free of branding ties, providing flexibility for prospective buyers to maintain its independent identity or pursue a repositioning strategy.

Paul Collins, head of hotel, Ireland at CBRE, said: “The International combines scale, prime location, and trading strength, in a destination where hotel sales of this calibre are exceptionally scarce. We expect strong interest from both domestic and international buyers.”

Tracy Coyne, managing director of the International Hotel, said: “For 50 years we have considered ourselves caretakers of this magnificent hotel. The time has come to pass the mantle to new owners who will continue to protect its heritage while driving its success into the future.”
