FlyDubai has joined forces with Accelya’s market-leading NDC to modernise its indirect channel distribution and retailing and bring greater consistency with its direct channel.

Accelya, a global leader in airline technology solutions, today announces that Flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, has chosen its market-leading New Distribution Capability (NDC) capability, part of the open and modular FLX ONE platform, to modernise distribution and advance its journey toward full Offers and Orders retailing.

The agreement marks an important milestone in Flydubai’s digital transformation. By adopting Accelya’s NDC solution, Flydubai will bring rich content, dynamic offers, and enhanced personalization to its trade partners and customers worldwide.

The move ensures a seamless experience across both direct and indirect channels, strengthening the airline’s ability to meet evolving traveller needs. This builds on a trusted partnership between the two companies that spans more than a decade.

Commenting on the new agreement, Ramesh Anantharaman, Divisional Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and Business Effectiveness at Flydubai, said: “we are pleased to expand our partnership with Accelya through the adoption of their NDC solution. This underscores our ongoing commitment to leveraging the latest technologies and enhancing the overall customer experience.

“The new agreement will enable us to distribute our full product range more effectively, introduce new services faster, and manage our channels with greater agility, supporting the airline’s continued growth. This marks an important step in our ongoing retail transformation”.

From its home in Dubai, flydubai has built a growing network of more than 135 destinations in 57 countries across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and Sout-Est Europe, the GCC and the Middle East, South Asia and South-East Asia.

Accelya is the global leader in NDC implementation, managing over 50% of NDC volumes worldwide via FLX ONE. Its proven, cloud-native technology enables airlines to modernize without lock-in, and supports a flexible, modular path to full Offers and Orders transformation.

“Flydubai joins a growing set of airlines choosing Accelya to lead their NDC and retailing transformation,” said Andrew Wilcock, Chief Revenue Officer at Accelya. “This partnership reinforces our belief that NDC isn’t just a distribution solution, it’s the foundation of an airline’s retailing future. Our open, modular FLX ONE platform gives airlines like Flydubai the power to innovate at their own pace, without dependency on legacy providers.”

This announcement coincides with the T2RL Engage event, where Accelya is sharing its vision for a new retailing model, enabling airlines to control their retailing through open, modern technology designed to help bridge today’s legacy systems into a more agile, resilient future.
