Drury Hotels has announced that construction is underway on the Drury Plaza Hotel Mobile in Mobile, Ala. Located on the site of a former Drury Inn & Suites that operated for nearly four decades, this will be the fifth Drury hotel in Alabama.

“We look forward to welcoming guests to the Drury Plaza Hotel Mobile,” said Chuck Drury, CEO of Drury Hotels. “Mobile is home to one of the South’s most diverse business communities and popular destinations for its lively entertainment scene and beautiful beaches. We are excited to be part of this historic community and offer travelers Drury’s signature amenities and welcoming hospitality.”

The new hotel will feature 186 guest rooms and more than 1,900 square feet of meeting space. Hotel amenities will include free hot breakfast, complimentary evening snacks and beverages during Drury’s signature 5:30 Kickback snack time, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour business and fitness centers, on-site parking, an outdoor pool and spa and the Kitchen + Bar dining option offering small bites and handcrafted cocktails. A guest market will also be available in the lobby.

For business and group travelers, the property will include flexible meeting space for up to 270 attendees under Drury’s Meetings with More program. This includes free Wi-Fi in all meeting rooms, no food and beverage minimums and a cancellation policy allowing groups to apply part of a cancellation fee toward a future event at any Drury hotel.
